The food was great, but unfortunately the experience was a huge disappointment. We specifically came for happy hour, but a large group of 16+ retirement age customers had taken over every high-top table and pushed them together, leaving no seating available for anyone else. We mentioned the situation to multiple staff members, but were essentially blown off and told, “That’s what this group does on Wednesdays and there is nothing they can do about it” We ended up sitting at the bar, where the group then placed their dirty dishes and cups directly next to us while we were eating. It was pretty unpleasant and frustrating. Great food, but the overall experience really took away from it.

It’s got a cool vibe with you walk in and throughout the entire thing. They do have availability for large parties! In the nice weather they have outdoor seating which over looks the rivers and downtown Toledo. (Very pretty if you time it right with the seasons). Our waitress was very sweet and did a fairly good job. We had to ask several times if we can get refills on our drinks. Appetizers were good. I didn’t really care for the dinner I ordered chicken parmesan. Chicken was good, the pasta didn’t have enough sauce for me and it was a little bland for being an Italian restaurant. Husband had lasagna and he liked it and my daughter had Alfredo and she like it! We have 4 people and ordered 2 appetizers, 4 dinner meals, and 1 margaritas and the bill was almost $200. A little too pricey for us for the service and meals we had! It is a gorgeous area around and once done eating you can walk off the food on the river walk that was just remodeled!

The food is great and the atmosphere and servers are kid friendly! The Margherita pizza has been great for 23 years!!! It just got smaller in size, thinner in crust and $6 more expensive in almost a quarter century, but the taste is the same..... Best Italian in the Toledo area and the restaurant sits directly at the Maumee river, giving you a patio or interior seating with river views.

I used to frequent here back in 2008/09 often when I lived in Toledo and it always had a great happy hour. Fast forward decades later and still rings true! Quick visit after the casino at the bar for an Italian Marg and some apps. Great service and still a fun atmosphere. Our service was great and friendly. $44 for 2 drinks a beer 3 apps and a veg pizza which was awesome!

Tried Zia's on my my MIL suggestion. Very nice fun place dockside on the Maumee River in Toledo. Tuesday at 6pm was not crowded yet the kitchen was spot on. Service was fast and friendly and the waitress made good suggestions. The food was very good and we will definitely eat here again. We are very good home cooks so we only eat out if it's worth the money.
